Tests were conducted on both the Cummins stamped steel oil pan and the Cat 3406 oil pan, each with a capacity of 9 gallons US (34 liters) were used to compile the following data and graph. Sixteen (16) of these temperature acceleration tests were completed on each subject oil pan, The Model 80 Engine Oil Heater was used in each of these tests.

 

Hour 1 - 81°F  (27°C)
Hour 2 - 126°F (52°C)
Hour 3 - 150°F (66°C)
Hour 4 - 160°F (71°C)
Hour 5 - 166°F (74°C)
Hour 6 - 170°F (77°C)

 

In summary, these tests verify the outstanding performance of our Oil Pan Heaters.
